Last weekend, instead of wallowing in our hangovers, we decided to drag ourselves out of bed and head into a rather drizzly London. After a fantastic lunch at the Royal China (quite simply the best Chinese food I have ever eaten and well worth the 20 minute wait) we mooched on down to South Bank to check out David Shirgley's exhibition, Brain Activity.
Shrigley aims to draw ''laughter, intrigued confusion and disquite'' from his viewer and I think it's safe to say that is what he achieved. Wondering around the gallery I smiled, laughed and scratched my head. As I overheard people complain 'I could do that' I found it best to embrace Shrigley's playful, obvious images and enjoy my Saturday afternoon - the glass is half full innit.
